Do you want to see all of London’s ‘must-see’ sights and attractions?

Would you like to hear quirky tales about London’s amazing and sometimes bizarre history? How about visiting off the beaten track places that Tour Buses can’t take you? Then this is the tour for you.

The GRAND LONDON TOUR is designed to show you London in all of its glory – great monuments as well as hidden nooks and crannies – and to give a taste of a Londoner’s London.

There are so many other wonderfully eccentric characters, peculiar traditions and eyebrow-raising monuments to discover on our carefully selected route, that the GRAND LONDON TOUR really is a must-do for anyone who wishes to unravel London’s most bizarre past and present.

What Our Guests Are Saying

More about the tour

Cycling casually alongside riverside pathways, cycle lanes and park routes, ensuring your complete safety at all times, the tour includes stops at highlights such as the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. We also go in search of the Spies at MI5 and the Horse Guards at Whitehall, along with visits to many other iconic locations such as Trafalgar Square and St Paul’s Cathedral.

THE GRAND LONDON TOUR also passes through crooked cobbled streets, hidden courtyards and alleyways, whilst exploring the grounds of England’s oldest library and most expensive Private school. You’ll wonder if JK Rowling took her inspiration for Hogwarts from here! A tour like none other, and you probably won’t need to take another during your visit to London (well maybe the Secret London tour!). Don’t delay and book with BrakeAway today!

FAQ

We meet all tours inside Waterloo train station. There are details of the exact meeting point here

We finish back at our location, in the Railway Archways, underneath Waterloo train station. Around platform 23¾!

Please do get in touch beforehand, so that we can make a plan or rearrange the tour for another day.

Although we can’t promise blue skies, London actually gets less annual rainfall than in Paris, Rome, Istanbul and Sao Paulo. We do have ponchos in the case of light rain and, if it happens to be raining heavily, we will try and reschedule your tour – if that’s not possible you’ll receive a full refund.

Our route follows a series of cycle lanes, riverside pathways, park routes and lots of smaller back streets. Any traffic we encounter is slow moving – as long as you can ride a bicycle, you’ll be perfectly safe.

Central London is completely flat and there are no steep inclines for the entire route. The tour is around 7.5 miles (12km) long. There are lots of stops and a break at the halfway point.

We typically take a 25-30 minute pause at around the halfway point to grab a drink and a bite to eat.

Absolutely! We will happily store your luggage in our secure location for the duration of your tour.

We provide everything you need: stylish and comfortable adult bicycles, with padded seats. We also have a range of smart children’s sized bikes – 26”, 24” & 20” (tag a-long bike buddies and child seats are available on private tours). We also have helmets available for all ages.

You can cancel for any reason up to 24 hours in advance, and receive a full refund. In the case of inclement weather, we’ll always try and reschedule your booking for another day, or offer you a full refund if it’s not safe to cycle.

We have a very flexible rescheduling policy – just get in touch and we’ll move your booking to another day.
